ATTENTION SCAM ALERT
WST Electric is warning members about a scam perpetrated by people posing as representatives of a government agency charged with assisting residents with paying their electric bill. In exchange for personal information, scammers provide customers with a bank account number for purposes of making utility bill payments by phone or internet. Please be aware that any bank account number provided to you in exchange for personal information is probably invalid and will be rejected when WSTE’s payment system presents the payment to the bank.
